The listening chamber: experiencing scenography in Pan Pan’s <i>All That Fall</i>

This article explores how scenography, specifically the visual-aural-spatial elements of a performance, shapes response an audience by acting as either guiding element to performance or its primary meaning. Through case study Pan Theatre’s All That Fall (2011) in Abbey Theatre, Dublin, this investigates sound, lighting and spatial designs exploit audience’s embodied responses. In conjunction with in-depth analysis, will utilise feedback theatre practitioner interviews order investigate scenography organises relationship through active foregrounding perception, well demonstrating evolving theatrical engagements/responses Beckett’s work.
